"Nuevos"
Pesos note from Mexico. It's from the first issue of 1992, just after Mexico had lopped three zeros off the old
"Pesos"
notes. This same Cuauhtémoc design had been recently issued as a 50,000 Pesos note.
These were
only issued once and for a period of less than 6 months
. This is the only, July 31, 1992 date. On December 10 of 1992 this issue was replaced with an entirely different design 50 Nuevos Pesos note with a portrait of José María Morelos. The
"Nuevos"
name was dropped from the Peso in 1994.
