Antique Great Lakes Native American Iroquois Bird Head Effigy carved wood Dance Stick, Staff or Cane from Wooster Ohio made of native red Cedar, the Bird has a natural Eye in the wood grain on both sides which is exclusively a Native American trait that is seen in Birdstones.  The Eastern Red Cedar is sacred and called the Tree of Life, it is said to contain the Spirits of their ancestors by Native Americans . This Amazing piece came from a farmer and his wife whose collection I purchased many years ago near Shreave Ohio. It was a gift from a friend that lived in Wooster and had it passed down through his family from a Native American Iroquois Indian.
