    Description
    This  listing is for a 19TH Century Native American ladle. I believe that the ladle is crafted of bark. The ladle has a hook at the end which was hooked on to the end of the wooden bowl. The ladle is a large serving ladle and was probably used for ceremonial purposes. The wooden ladle is is attributed to the Algonquin tribes type which encompasses several tribes. Upper portion near the hook shows a nice original wear pattern and darker handling patina.
    Size - 10 1/2" long
    Condition - Fine condition with nice wear from use.
